This seventh studio release for Circe Link is a return to all things Cowboy Jazz, her unique and original style. But true to her form there are meanderings into Loungey Jazz, Country and even Pop.

lyrics
I gotta hand it to ya, since I knew ya
Some things fool ya, but you gotta a way
With what you’re doing, there’s something to it’s
Getting to me
Now baby I can’t name it, but you made it
Brought and paid it, seems I didn’t figure
You could hang on, I thought you’d go wrong
Getting to me
Like a derby queen I make the scene
I’m not too green, to know a good thing when I see it
Win, place or show
Betting on the dark horse, who could have known?
Nobody else can quite do, day or night do
All that you do, setting out the pace
But can ya keep up? It takes more than luck
Getting to me
Steady as she goes ‘cause heaven knows
That I’m no rose, I’m trouble
But you bring the blue sky when I’m feeling rain
I’m striking like lightening but you don’t mind the pain
It’s strange that I would want to, ask or plot to
Spend the time to see what makes you special
Guess I’m buying, all that you’re tryin’s
Getting to me
I don’t know what it is you think you’re doing
I don’t know who it is you think you’re wooing
It’s magic that you’re brewing is my cup of tea, I think you can see
Well I could hit the high way, wrong or right way
Go my own way. but I kinda like it, hope that you keep it up
Your little way of, your walk, your wiggle, each day of
Could it be love that’s getting to me, getting to me?

I do like this version better than the "earlier" one. I also like "Crash Course in the Blues" The rest is good too. I'm not sure about "She Hangs Out"....it's growing on me! ;-) Dianne M
