BLACK BALLOONS Last night you had a dream where everything was really strange But then no one ever had a dream that’s normal Like a carnival or circus Dogs and children everywhere Like a birthday party or summer formal But in the crowd a painted clown In silence waits just by the door Whose lonely eyes are red from crying And he gives to you a bouquet That lifts you off the floor He brings you black balloons, black balloons Black balloons, black balloons As you watch the world beneath your feet you wonder if it’s real All the people start to shrink and grow much smaller Like a doll house or a train set Pretty colors in the sun Like a cupcake ferris wheel or silver dollar But down below the people go Around the lawn like ants about their day And I’m there too to sing to you A song about a life where no one sees you float away In all these black balloons, black balloons Black balloons, black balloons But in the clouds a distant sound Of someone weeping beyond your view And then it’s clear through salty tears A million other strangers drifting just like you Under their black balloons, black balloons Black balloons, black balloons Black balloons, black balloons By Circe Link (Narccisiphus Music BMI) and Christian Nesmith (Neztoons Publishing BMI)

Pocket Watch 03:47
POCKET WACTH My pocket watch, a little clock Swinging from a chain Remains my pride and joy you know that My pocket watch, it never stops Singing a refrain Day in and day out You’re just a mortal man stuck in the quick sand Straight up or run down Ya do the best you can My pocket watch, goes ticky tock Ringing like the rain It’s plain it sounds like pitter pat My pocket watch, best friend I got Saying once again Year after year You’re just another soul a’circling round the sun But nothing to fear ‘Cause I’ll will let you know when your time has come When your race has been run And when you're good and done And when your time has come Time for tea, high time, borrowed time, killing time All in good time, a stitch in time, a devil of a time, No time like the present… Night in your bed There’s something in your dreams, a’nibblin’ round the edges Tearing the seams, of everything that’s left My pocket watch a little clock My pocket watch best friend I got My pocket watch goes ticky tock My pocket watch it never stops By Circe Link (Narccisiphus Music BMI) and Christian Nesmith (Neztoons Publishing BMI)

THE SYCAMORE TREE Under the sycamore tree I always to loved to spend the day And on the sweetest breeze I could hear the people laugh and play With cheeks so red and clouds so white The sky so blue beneath the golden dappled light Under the sycamore tree One morning my new neighbor stood And smiling and said to me We should keep it safe for the greater good We’d build a wall and charge a fee He said he’d do it all so I happily agreed Under the sycamore tree I used to love to spend the day But now it isn’t free And I have lost my purse and can not pay And when I looked over that great big wall The man was gone and there was no one there at all Under the sycamore tree Under the sycamore tree Under the sycamore tree By Circe Link (Narccisiphus Music BMI) and Christian Nesmith (Neztoons Publishing BMI)

Lost Keys 05:19
LOST KEYS I saw a man out on the street today By the bus stop as I made my way His gaze was cast upon a spot there on the ground And as I passed I wondered what it was he might have found And on my way back home this afternoon I saw the man still there, he had not moved His face was twisted and eyes were tired and red So I stopped to listen and this is what he said Looking for my keys under this light Can you help me please I lost them in my house last night Looking for my keys I feel so blind I’m looking out here on the street ‘Cause this is where it’s really bright Bah bah bah His face was twisted and eyes were tired and red So I stopped to listen and this is what he said Looking for my keys under this light Can you help me please I lost them in my house last night Looking for my keys I feel so blind I’m looking out here on the street ‘Cause this is where it’s really bright And so I laughed and went along my way It seemed so sad I hoped he was okay I left him crawling on the sidewalk like a fool And yet I’m wondering if I lost my keys what I would do? Looking for my keys under this light Can you help me please I lost them in my house last night Looking for my keys I feel so blind I’m looking out here on the street ‘Cause this is where it’s really bright Written By Circe Link – Narccisiphus Music (BMI) Christian Nesmith – Neztoons Publishing (BMI)

Vapor Light 04:12
VAPOR LIGHT Summer came and burned you down Deep depression glass Summer went and left a note Said you would never last One more season in this town Of mystic endless highs One more season in this town Of orange vapor light Summer killed another girl But no one knew her name Summer kissed this world goodbye And said she couldn’t take One more season in this town Where no one laughs or cries One more season in this town Of orange vapor light Summer died and turned to fall While you were waiting here Summer song we all must sing Same place same time next year One more season in this town Where fires are running wild One more season in this town Of orange vapor light One more season in this town Where no one lives or dies One more season in this town Of orange vapor light By Circe Link (Narccisiphus Music BMI) and Christian Nesmith (Neztoons Publishing BMI)

FORBIDDEN FRUIT (IN THE GARDEN) Arise and greet the vaulted sky and burning sun Away the velvet night retreats into the dawn Everywhere a verdant green of floral rage Over temple grove the stream of sunlight plays And flower flower flower bird and bee The golden hour bower branch of ancient trees Into the garden, come to me Into the garden, come to me In the garden, in the garden In the garden, in the garden Awake inside your blossom skin the beauty there Away the blackened thought of sin and have no fear Everywhere beloved voices aching songs Over aeons sacred words to call you home And lover lover lover wave and sea As we discover other only you and me Into the garden, come to me Into the garden, come to me In the garden, in the garden In the garden, in the garden The garden, the garden The garden, the garden Of forbidden fruit Arise! Awake! By Circe Link (Narccisiphus Music BMI) and Christian Nesmith (Neztoons Publishing BMI)

Fixie 03:57
FIXIE She’s got a rag in her pocket And a bag full of stars With a wrench and a socket And a parlor guitar She don’t mind A little hard work and elbow greasey And she don’t mind ‘Cause sometimes you blow with the breezy She says fixie fixie fixie I love my bicycle Fixie fixie fixie I’m gonna see the world And right on this two lane highway I want the good and bad days on my fixie bicycle She’s got a tattoo of Texas on her right arm She met an angel from Memphis who sang her a song She’s seen a yellow moon rising on Lake Pontchartrain Seen faces so different but somehow the same And she don’t mind A little detour or the long way round And she don’t mind ‘Cause sometimes you gotta get lost before you’re found And she says fixie fixie fixie I love my bicycle And on this fixie fixie fixie I’m gonna see the world And right on this two lane highway I want the good and bad days on my fixie bicycle Written By Circe Link – Narccisiphus Music (BMI) Christian Nesmith – Neztoons Publishing (BMI)

OLD PHOTOGRAPH Wherever I go I know that you’re always with me I’m never alone Even when it’s dark and cold outside Whatever I do I know that it’s you who loves me I’m never afraid Even though the day has cloudy skies I look into your eyes In an old photograph Somewhere back in the past Remember we cried and laughed While we played In an old photograph Oh what a time we had Each on a different path But we played Bah bah bah Whenever I’m down I know that you’d laugh and tell me That every frown Is just a smile that lost it’s way Whatever I think I know that you never left me You give me a wink And say that everything’s alright I see you in my mind In an old photograph Somewhere back in the past Remember we cried and laughed While we played In an old photograph Oh what a time we had Living it all so fast But we played By Circe Link (Narccisiphus Music BMI) and Christian Nesmith (Neztoons Publishing BMI)

Baby Bottle 04:25
BABY BOTTLE I write this letter to someone who needs a little help Hope you get better before you turn into someone else Always collecting yourself from the past Always erecting a love by the glass I send this message to someone I know who is far away And so expressing my warmest regards I hope that’s ok But I saw you falling before I could blink Now in a spiral you circle the drink With your Baby bottle, with your baby bottle I make a wish for another lost soul in the city lights Shaking your fists as you swing for the shadows And chew on the ice Never unlearning so look out below Never returning my gaze as you go Never returning from battles begun Never to smile in the face of the sun With your Baby bottle, with your baby bottle By Circe Link (Narccisiphus Music BMI) and Christian Nesmith (Neztoons Publishing BMI)

Yellow Dress 03:27
YELLOW DRESS I got a yellow dress and it makes me feel so sunny And I know the world’s a mess but I try to shake the blues No I’m not so self obsessed that I can’t see what’s so funny And as you might have guessed no surprise I’m just like you Chew me up and spit me out But don’t have a lick of doubt That I can fly Nothing’s gonna kill my buzz Sunshine is my favorite drug I’m so high, let’s get high I got a yellow dress and it makes me feel so sunny And I wanna look my best when I fight for me and you No I never get depressed ‘cause life is sweet and honey And if you’re so impressed I can show you what to do If they go low then I go high I turn the cheek and pass them by And I feel fine Nothing’s gonna kill my buzz Sunshine is my favorite drug I’m so high Golden halos topping all the trees All the people walking on the streets As I pass I’m like big sunflower If you ask I’ll share with you my special powers Chew me up and spit me out But don’t have a lick of doubt That I can fly Nothing’s gonna kill my buzz Sunshine is my favorite drug I’m so high, let’s get high Let's so high It’s my sunshine I got a yellow dress By Circe Link (Narccisiphus Music BMI) Christian Nesmith (Neztoons Publishing BMI)

STARS AND STRIPES I work a factory job in a company town Where the smokestacks turn everything gray I always give what I got never sleep never stop But I long for the end of the day They say that I’m a lucky kid I’ll never know what I missed like you So long and adieu But when I finally close my eyes I wish I may I wish I might Have somebody tell me why we do, what we do? I’m sewing stars and stripes Every day every night But they never shine What does it mean? I’m sewing stars and stripes And I don’t know if it’s right But I do my best like the rest I do my best to believe I work from dawn to the dusk to the deadline we rush While the smokestacks make snow in the heat I work my hands to the bone yes I do what I’m told But I hope for a day of relief They tell me when I’m all gown up That once we’ve finally made enough we’re free Oh could it be? But when I lay me down to sleep My visions start to crawl and creep Of people wearing stars on every street And one of them is me I’m sewing stars and stripes Every day every night But they never shine What does it mean? I’m sewing stars and stripes And I don’t know if it’s right But I do my best like the rest I do my best to believe Little suits for little men And little dresses for the ladies I make Little truths and little hems And little messages that you won’t hear today okay? I’m sewing stars and stripes Every day every night But they never shine What does it mean? I’m sewing stars and stripes And I don’t know if it’s right But I do my best like the rest I do my best to believe By Circe Link (Narccisiphus Music BMI) and Christian Nesmith (Neztoons Publishing BMI)

about

Our new record Enchanted Objects and Ordinary Things will be our 10th album of original material and we feel it’s some of best work to date.
While some of the songs connect the dots from previous releases with quirky lyrics and jazzy mood, as per the usual we have strayed far off the beaten path to explore even more Pop sounds ala The Free Design, The Byrds, The Mamas and Papas and all the way to the Far East and back.
Featuring dazzling vocal arrangements, haunting melodies, sparkling twelve sting guitars this record is sure to please.
